I gave this box as a gift to my parents for Christmas. They really like it, but tell me that it was not as easy to install as the videos made it seem. However, it is up now (has been for a month or so), and they have gotten pictures of an Eastern Screech Owl visiting it. Hope he (she?) moves in and has a family there!

This is a beautifully constructed owl box. I found it somewhat challenging to mount to a tree because of its size and weight. In the end, I used a rope to tie the box to the tree (it was my "third hand"!) so I could drive the screws in. Now we're just waiting for owls to take up residence in the box!

My only disappointment is that I don't have an owl yet nesting. :-( I can see the box from my home office window and I look everyday hoping....!

Unfortunately, it hasn't been hung yet, but this is a beautiful product. WE have a large owl and spouse in our neighborhood and this was a gift to me--to try and lure them to our yard. The only problem--it has to be put up about 15 feet above the ground--so I'm waiting to have someone hold the ladder before I can install it
